Great success for Palcic Taekwondo at LTSI south east championships!!

Great success for Palcic Taekwondo at LTSI south east championships!!

Palcic taekwondo bought a very healthy 90 students to the now famous LTSI  south east championships. The event is supported by over 30 schools coming from all over the country, and standards are very high with plenty of friendly competition from the competing schools.

Many of our students at this event were beginners to the competition scene, but clearly very quickly adapted to the intense competition that took place. In total we hauled in 30 medals, including 16 bronze, 6 silver, and 8 gold medals!! Listed below are all the medal winners from our school.

Due to the large size of the competition, the morning session was very busy, our kids did battle, some of them having to fight 5 or 6 rounds against other very respected schools, and we were bringing the medals home thick and strong, with Annaliese Morris, Raahil Kamdar, and Zahid Abdur-Rahman all getting gold in their very heated divisions.

Action then picked up again in the afternoon, with our 5 man black belt team showing a very impressive performance to win the team patterns event – check out our facebook page to see the video of this great team pattern –

The afternoon also did not disappoint, with Ewa Iwanow getting gold in sparring and patterns, Dhruvi Shah getting gold in sparring, and Kieran Mallon getting gold in special technique and silver in sparring in the black belt event.

As a very nice touch the tournament organisers gave congratulation certificates to all entries, this is a great gesture and highlights the fact that all 340 competitors on the day are winners!
