Martial arts is for everyone!! Young and old!! PALCIC TAEKWONDO was established over 15 years ago by Mr Paul Palcic 6th Dan to provide a new and exciting Martial arts group based on the principle that all can participate martial arts.

Since starting up with only a few students, our principles of quality and service to the martial arts world, have allowed us to grow rapidly into a group with over 800 members. And having possibly more black belts actively training than any other single school in London.

We have always believed that Martial arts is a discipline that everyone can benefit from. No matter what your age or level is, you will find a class that specifically suits your needs. And be certain to learn in a friendly and helpful environment that really will make the difference.

TaekwondoTaekwondo, also spelt TaeKwon-Do, or tae kwon do, is a Korean military martial art that is in some ways similar to karate and styles of kung fu. Tae kwon do was founded in 1955 by general choi hong hi, who later went to establish the international taekwondo federation, also known as the ITF.

Our taekwondo classes involve all aspects of the art, including basic moves, physical conditioning and flexibility training, sparring, traditional forms, self defence, and many more components.

Our chief executive instructor – Mr. Paul palcic, is an internationally recognized 6th degree black belt instructor. He started his training in 1985 under the tutorlage of one of UK’s most respected technicians, master bhupinder sahota.

Kick boxing

our kickboxing system is one of the most dynamic kickboxing experiences currently available. Kickboxing originally developed from some of the traditional pioneers of martial arts such as karate, tae kwon do, and kung fu.

Our classes not only involve all aspects of the sport of kickboxing, but also realistic self defence training.

Realistic Self Defence Training

our realistic self defence training is amongst some of the best in the UK. We are affiliated to the realistic self defence organization, which is spearheaded by gary payne. Gary has many years of experience in the very real world of street combat, and has been hands on in the training of many police forces.

We stand out from the rest because of our professionalism.It therefore goes without saying that all our instructors are fully enhanced CRB checked, first aid qualified, and fully qualified and certified.

All our instructors are selected because of their passion for martial arts and teaching. All instructors regularly train to maintain and improve their own standards and pass this onto their students.

We are a genuine black belt academy, with over one hundred currently training internationally recognized Black Belts!!!All of these highly skilled students started in our schools on our unique beginners programme, just like yourself. This fact itself is testimony to the quality of our schools and dedication shown by our team of senior instructors and students.

If you commit yourself to train with us then you too will one day wear the black belt with pride.

Please beware of schools who make claims to be black belt academies but cannot back this up with the facts. All potential students are more than welcome to come and watch our black belt classes to see for themselves.

Code of conductIn the interests of all students, instructors and schools, we ask all members/parents to read and adhere to our code of conduct. This code will ensure that the highest standards are met, and the traditions of martial arts are kept alive, as well as allowing you to learn in a positive and safe environment, where you can be certain to get the best results.

Students

• All students should bow upon entering and leaving the training hall (DOJANG)
• No eating or chewing of gum is allowed in class.
• Your instructor (who has dedicated a lot of time and effort to get to where they are) should always be referred to as MR, or MRS, or MS – followed by their surname, or SIR/MA’AM.
• With the exception of new beginners, all students should wear only official uniforms/clothing to class, which should be clean and ironed.
• All students should ensure that their personal hygiene in training is not a cause for comment or embarrassment.
• No jewellery or watches are to be worn whilst training.
• All mobile phones are to be switched off or put on silence whilst the class is in progress.
• Students arriving late must ask permission from the instructor to move into class.
• Poor behaviour and/or bad language shall not be tolerated at all in the school.
• Remember at all times that you are in the privileged position of being an ambassador to both our school and martial arts in general. Please do not act in a way that brings your school or the art into disrepute.
• It is the students duty to ensure that all training fee’s are paid on time, and not the role of the instructor to have to waste valuable time chasing up fee’s.
• Behaviour that is considered disruptive, or inappropriate both to other students and the instructors, shall not be tolerated, and will more than likely result in your dismissal from the school.
• Students should both respect their seniors in martial arts and in age, and be helpful towards their juniors in martial arts and age.
• Make sure you are positive and have fun!!!!

Parents/spectators

• Anyone who is permitted to watch the class, must do so in a manner that does not interrupt the class. In others words be silent, and not allow your other children to run around the hall. Switch your mobile off etc.
• In the interest of child protection, no filming or photography is allowed to be taken of the class or students without permission from the appropriate people.
• Please ensure that you do not disrupt the class whilst entering or leaving the training hall.
• Any parent who is responsible for picking up your child at the end of the class, please do so in good time.
• Please support the instructor in any advice or feedback that we give your child.

All our schools are registered with the International Taekwondo Federation, the worlds most recognized taekwondo association, and established by the founder of taekwondo himself.Our commitment to excellence means that our senior instructors regularly travel around the world to train with the world’s highest masters – (insert some photos of Germany). Allowing us to pass the highest standards of martial arts to our students.
